Ga Roti is a quintessential Vietnamese rice dish that’s delicious with rice, a salad, sticky rice, on it’s own.. there’s really no way to go wrong with it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Chicken thighs marinated with
    • 2 tsp Salt/ 1 tsp Pepper
  • 5 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 minced medium sized shallots
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 4 tbs Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tbs Fish Sauce
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp bouillon of your choice 

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your marinade by combining everything above reserving half of your minced shallots and garlic for a later step.
  2. Pan fry your chicken until golden brown on both sides with a neutral oil until about 80% done and remove from pan.
  3. Saute your reserved shallots and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add in your sauce and let the sauce meld together for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add your chicken, and it’s juices back into the pan to reduce the sauce until sticky and the chicken is finished cooking.
